Lex Leroy was born in the early 70's, influenced by the 80's and especially the 90's. An era where almost any style and color was accepted and appreciated.
He distanced himself from the classical academic approach to art to join the street art movement of the early 90s. He connected with artists from all over the world and participated in many exhibitions and events.
The growing market demand brought street art into galleries. He began to work on canvas, relying on his savoir-faire and expertise, working with galleries, private collectors and public institutions.
In the decades that followed, he successfully explored new areas of art such as graphic design, digital art, digital photography and web design.
His artistic approach is difficult to grasp, influenced by many, but equal to none. Abstract, impressionistic, surreal, metaphysical or transcendental?
He currently lives in Tenerife and his artistic manifestations and expressions resonate with the nature, landscapes, lights and myths of this wonderful island.
Lex Leroy's new art collection seems to be a reminder of what he believes art is all about: "satisfaction, joy and enlightenment".
